MAIN ENGINES
There are Manufacturers who look to build their vessels as inexpensive as possible and then there are those who build for their target Market. These outstanding vessels are built to work every day in whatever they find and to power this craft in speeds in ranges from just 9 knots to speeds in excess of 45 knots. To do that the Manufacturer has to work with you to arrive at the most appropriate engine configuration for you and the waters you are using the vessel in. Water Taxi are normally controlled to operate for comfort and whilst their may be full justification for the 45 knot capabilities the Manufacturer has assessed the majority of owner operators will use speeds under 30 knots.

To provide you with a sensible and extremely workable example we have elected to use 2 x Yanmar 6LY3 – STP 440 BHP with ZF 80 1V Gearboxes with conventional shaft drive. Spares for this combination are easily obtained almost everywhere in the world and reliability has been proven on other vessels in our range using this combination. This outstanding combination of power and reliability will deliver speeds of around 30 knots with cruising speeds from just 9 knots up to around 28 knots. This is a Public Service Vessel and the idea is to get where you are going safely and comfortably as well as fast as expected. Designed by Gianpero Lazzarone, this Deep V – planning hull with its combination of drive allows it to operate safely at speed in almost any weather. The extra strength in the hull comes from its method of construction. The advanced composite hull is partially vacuum applied with a monolithic GRP structure.

•Manufactured to International rules, these vessels are finished in an Isophtalic gelcoat which is painted RAL 7000 – Grey.

•Full navigation lights and searchlights to allow the vessel to operate both inland and on open waters between islands. Internal and external lighting arrangements, remote controlled search-light.
